I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, working with Prof. Haibo Zeng and Prof. Ryan Williams. Before it, I got my M.S. in ECE with Prof. Frank Dellaert at Georgia Tech, and my bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering from Northeastern University in China.
Everything can be optimized! In my research, I utilize math to optimize robots, real-time systems, and machine learning. My previous experiences range from high-level applications (robotics, autonomous driving, machine learning) to low-level systems (OS, scheduling, system design) and computer architecture. My other research interests include data-centric and trustworthy ML, and distributed systems.
I’m going to join Google after graduation in 2025. I also had a wonderful internship at Qualcomm in San Diego in 2024 summer.
